The courses in this track are specifically designed for new customers or existing customers with new users that need to get up to speed. It's also designed for sales and business development managers using Flex to build quotes and sell to their customers.
Day One - Tuesday, August 6
Session One (10:30AM-12:30PM): Crash Course Part One
This introductory session will provide a detailed overview of business locations, corporate identities, contacts, inventory, and building quotes.
Session Two (1:30-3:30PM): Crash Course Part Two
In this session you'll learn about pull sheets, rental and purchase orders, warehouse scanning, and job invoicing.
Session Three (3:45PM-5:45PM): Job Building Best Practices
Learn some of the best ways to build and manage jobs in your system. We will especially look at some of the best ways to manage larger jobs in your system.

Session Four (9:30AM-10:45AM): Tom Stimson Keynote: How to Optimize Warehouse Operations and Why Common Sense Has It All Wrong
The most valuable asset in your warehouse is the floor. We all know this intuitively, yet traditional operations best practices demonstrate that we don't actually understand it. In this presentation, Live Event expert and Business Consultant Tom Stimson will identify five beliefs that are widely accepted as common sense but undermine efficiency, accuracy, and profitability of production rental warehouse operations. You will also learn the three guiding principles of operations management and how to start implementing them tomorrow.
Session Five (11:00AM-12:30PM): Labor & Staffing Roundtable
Join Flex CEO Chris Stein, Consultant Tom Stimson, Jason Harmer with CrewDriver, and Adam Swingler with Gallagher Staging during a Labor & Staffing Roundtable while they discuss the trends, issues, and best practices of how production companies staff their business and work contingent labor.
Session Six (1:30PM-3:00PM): The Value of Flex Consultants
Hear Flex Consultants Aaron Horn and Benjamin "Bigs" Coppel along with industry consultant Tom Stimson talk about the benefits of working with a knowledgeable Flex consultant to optimize how you use Flex for your business. Discussion topics will include examples and reasons for why production companies engage with them as industry / flex consultants and discuss the value that they can provide. Solving specific problems within organizations that simply having Flex as a software doesn’t always address.
Session Seven (3:15pm-4:45PM): RFID
RFID technology will change how you scan, track, and manage your inventory. Chris Stein will show you how the best-in-class warehousing app now comes with RFID integration. Learn how you can significantly reduce scan time and operational costs with RFID. In this session, you’ll get an introductory course on everything RFID - from hardware to implementation and best practices. Get the scoop on the best reader and tag technologies and how to best use these. Don’t miss this class.
