JOB DESCRIPTION
Flex Rental Solutions is hiring a Full Stack Engineer for our growing engineering team. We are looking for someone with 2-5 years of full stack development experience to help expand our exciting next generation SaaS product. This is a 100% remote role so you can be located anywhere in the United States however we do prefer the following states: California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Utah, Texas, or Washington
You will work as part of an established, yet growing development team that writes and manages our Flex Rental SaaS product. Individual contributions have a great deal of impact for our customers and for the rest of the team. If you enjoy working with smaller team sizes, thrive with a large amount of autonomy, and don’t mind some ambiguity, then Flex may be the right place for you.
We integrate our code regularly and ship often. We believe in short incremental development cycles so we expect our developers to commit code on a daily basis at a minimum. We expect our developers to work autonomously, and want candidates with an ability to identify, communicate, and solve problems. All of our developers interact with our Product & QA teams and fix issues based on their feedback.
Salary: DOE 65-80K annually
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Your background is in live events and/or you have Flex Software experience. We need someone who can come in and own deep parts of our industry specific business code. Ideally, you already have a few years of professional coding experience, however event industry experience is critical for this role. Experience with Crew / Labor would give you an additional advantage.
You have a bias towards UI development, but don’t mind getting into the backend to build APIs. Our new team member will write a lot of UI & JavaScript code, so you really need to enjoy building UI’s and working in the browser environment. You will also be expected to help build and augment API’s in our Spring Boot/Groovy/MySQL backend.

We assume that you’ll be biased towards action and always have your eye on keeping your tasks moving forward. You know how to find your way to solutions (aka often great Google skills!) and know when to pull in your peers for help or to get another perspective.
You are a good communicator. Excellent communication skills are critical as you interact with the team. Our new team member will not only chat about requirements, issues, and sharing knowledge through Slack and email, but write explanations and resolutions to issues, document findings in Wiki, and be able to deliver presentations to the team.
You value an agile & iterative culture. At Flex, we aren’t agile by the book. We simply value quick feedback, collaboration, quick iterations, continuous integration, and shipping software often.
The key skills required for this role:
- Event Industry experience (Crew/Labor experience is even better)
- JavaScript / Web Development
- Developing REST APIs in any major server side language (Java, Node, Python, C#, etc)
- SQL

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are hiring a Support Tech for our customer support team. We're looking to expand our support team by adding a dedicated support specialist as we continue to grow. We are a customer-centric company, and our focus is not only to solve customer technical issues but also create software solutions that help our customers in their day-to-day operations and responsibilities. We are here to be problem-solvers. We are seeking someone who can help with day-to-day customer support. This will be primarily via email, chat, phone, and web-based screen sharing.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
You are great with customer interaction. This position is customer-facing. The ideal candidate considers themselves a customer advocate and champion by educating customers on best practices to help them achieve their goals. Our Support team is most often the contact that interfaces with our customers the most, so our ideal candidate must be professional, courteous, and provide excellent customer service at all times. You put the customer first, and always use empathy to guide how you respond to requests.
You are Flex savvy and a team player. Having a strong background in the Flex software will be critical in helping support customers. However, knowing when to lean on your team to best assist with questions you’re not familiar with is important too.
You are self-motivated and take initiative. Being self-motivated is a requirement as you will be working remotely and often without supervision. Our ideal candidate would be proactive in anticipating customer needs and developing intelligent solutions to implementation roadblocks or technical issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist new customers through initial setup and software configuration.
- Help customers troubleshoot issues they encounter and provide actionable tips to resolve the problem.
- Send technical documentation through help desk documents or customized videos.
- Offer follow up screen share or phone calls when further clarification is needed
- Participate in weekly and daily support calls to discuss difficult cases.
- Assume remote control over customers’ computers when necessary to resolve problems
- Respond promptly and courteously to customer support tickets and update customer support tickets with troubleshooting steps and resolution documentation.
- Improve system performance by identifying problems, researching answers, and making suitable recommendations. Provides guidance to customers on best practices and steps towards resolution.
- Collaborates with the training team to identify customers who may need additional training or support.
- Communicates and documents possible bugs and errors to product development and programming teams in a timely manner.
- This position requires you to be available during off-hours during on-call rotation. Be on call to assist customers who have gone offline and cannot access Flex. It is a rotation schedule for a one week time period. Currently, once every 8 weeks.
