covid-19 travelSince Friday, February 28, when the national conversation around COVID-19 gained momentum, I have flown over 20,000 miles with more than 11,000 miles still to go until I am home. I am currently traveling through Australia to attend and exhibit at Entech Roadshow. Prior to Australia, I was in Las Vegas and Amsterdam.

During my travels, I remain alert, yet calm. But I have not made massive changes to my normal routine. I try to exercise every day, maintain proper and adequate hygiene practices, and when possible, clean common touchpoint surfaces to minimize risk.

I do understand and appreciate the proactive and cautionary measures in place to contain the spread of COVID-19, even in cases where it may be asymptomatic, such as postponing or canceling large events in order to protect more vulnerable high-risk communities. 

Impact of Covid-19 on the Live Events Industry

I understand the impact Covid-19 is having on the live events industry and our customers, and my company will take the time to monitor, review, and adapt as necessary. The people that make up the live events and rental industry are incredibly resilient and resourceful. We’ve been able to weather past crises, and emerge stronger and better positioned to serve our customers in the future. 

I am grateful for our customers and your ability to navigate rough seas with calm, grace, and utmost tact. Because we know how challenging that is to do at this time. The impact of Covid-19 on the live events industry won’t be forever, and we can come out of this stronger.

Flex was excited to attend NAB this year to meet with our customers in the broadcasting industry. Unfortunately, we were informed today that the event is being postponed or canceled. We appreciate the event organizers for prioritizing everyone’s health and we look forward to being able to exhibit at the next show.
