We asked Nick Nazario, Flex’s Customer Success Manager, our Five Questions—including his favorite live event memory, the best part of his job, and his predictions for the industry. His answers are below.
Nick Nazario

1. What is your favorite live event memory and why?
Warped Tour 2013 in Scranton, PA. Jason Butler, frontman of letlive, took the rug off the stage mid-song, ran up the side of the mountain, and used the rug to slide back down before running back onstage to finish the song. His stage presence (or lack thereof?) is hard to beat.
2. If you could see any show of any performer (living or passed), who would it be and why? (BONUS: Where would you want to see them?)
It’s hard to pick just one. I think it’d be fun to see Rainbow Kitten Surprise at the Red Rocks Amphitheater. I’ve always wanted to go to that venue, I’ve never seen RKS, and I think they’d put on an awesome show there.
3. What is the best part of your job and why?
Feeling like I’m contributing to the live event industry while getting to work from home with my family. I miss being behind the scenes for events like concerts and festivals but, nowadays, I get to help so many AV companies implement systems that help them to produce these events.
4. What sets Flex apart from its competition?
The genuine care for the success of our customers. From the back-end developers to the customer-facing sales and training teams, we have live event professionals who are always striving to make the product better for our customers.
5. What is one prediction you have for the future of the industry?
Continued expansion. The industry is progressive in the sense that people are always looking to do new things and produce bigger and better experiences. As technology continues to evolve, the event industry will follow.
