Manifest Management

Track every job’s equipment from prep through return on one document.

When a pull sheet is prepped, Flex automatically creates a manifest to track what went out and what’s due back. The manifest carries the job through prep, optional ship, and return scans, then finalizes with full accountability for every item.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a manifest in Flex?

A manifest is the document Flex generates automatically when you prep a pull sheet. It tracks every item scanned out for a job and expected to return, and it carries that job through prep, ship, and return scan stages until finalized.

Does Flex require a two-step scan-out process?

No. By default, equipment receives a prep scan leaving the warehouse and a return scan coming back. Ship scans are optional and enabled per manifest for companies that want a separate truck-load verification step.

What happens when a manifest is finalized on return?

Finalizing the return screen closes the manifest and moves it to returned status. Any items that were not scanned back in are automatically marked presumed missing so the shortage is visible immediately.

Can scans be undone if a mistake happens?

Yes. Flex supports undoing individual scans from the last scan tab and bulk-undoing scan records from the manifest tab on the prep screen. Undo works across prep, ship, return, and free scan stages.

What if gear was scanned out without a job?

Use free scan out to remove gear from inventory without a job attached. When a pull sheet is later created, use choose from free scan out on the prep screen to assign those items to the manifest.
