At Allied Productions, Jesse Andler plays a critical role in keeping people, schedules, and priorities aligned. As People Operations Coordinator, he balances shifting timelines, evolving crew needs, and constant communication across teams, often all at once. His work ensures that the right people are in the right place at the right time, even when conditions are changing fast.
According to his colleagues, Jesse brings savant-like organizational skills, crystal-clear processes, and a strong sense of collaboration to every show. He combines charm, wit, and genuine care to build schedules that support both the crew and leadership. The result is a work environment where people feel prepared, supported, and confident heading into show day.
Jesse is quick to point out that the best scheduling work often goes unnoticed. If everything runs smoothly, that means he has done his job. He describes labor coordinators as “the background to the background,” quietly making saves, swapping crews, and nudging projects back on track before anyone ever realizes there was a potential issue. For Jesse, that invisibility is part of the role, and he is comfortable living there.
When five people text him at once asking to shift call times, Jesse’s process is honest and effective. One deep inhale, one slow exhale, a quiet internal reaction, then a calm response like nothing just happened. Years in events have taught him that panic fixes nothing. Clarity, organization, and communication are what actually move things forward.
That mindset shows up in how he uses technology as well. One of Jesse’s favorite Flex tools is the API. With help from a developer, he built a custom workflow layered on top of Flex’s Scheduling Assistant to better track shows, call sheets, contractor information, and calendars. It allows him to shape Flex around how he works, rather than forcing his process to fit a rigid system. It is a clear example of how technical skill and creative problem-solving come together in his role.
For Jesse, a perfect schedule is a bit of a myth. He compares it to Bigfoot. Legendary, whispered about, and rarely seen. If you ever think you have one, you probably start questioning reality. Still, he keeps chasing it, knowing that each iteration gets a little closer to what the team needs.
When the final slot is filled and the crew is locked in, Jesse’s victory ritual is short-lived. He pushes his chair back, stretches, maybe takes a quick break, then it is right back to the screens and on to the next one. The work never really stops, and that is part of what keeps it engaging.
What continues to draw Jesse to the industry is the blend of creativity, chaos, logistics, and people. Even when the work feels familiar, it is never actually the same. Every show challenges different parts of his brain, from strategy and communication to problem-solving and coordination. There is also something deeply satisfying about looking back at the volume of shows he has helped bring to life.
When asked to describe his year in ten words or less, Jesse put it this way:
“More shows, more chaos, feel ten years older. LFG 2026!”
Jesse’s reliability, humor, and behind-the-scenes impact capture exactly what the Scheduling Star category is meant to recognize. He keeps teams connected, problems contained, and shows staffed with care, all while making the impossible look routine.
